Montgomery County (TX) prosecutors have filed documents to have Adrian Peterson arrested again after he admitted to using drugs in violation of his bond condition.
Which really wasn't all that a smart idea...
Court records show while giving his urine sample during his court appearance earlier this week, Peterson admitted he had 'smoked a little weed' before the test.
As a result, the District Attorney's office has asked the judge in the case to set aside the $15,000 bond already forfeited in the case they're facing and have him arrested again.
Here's the motion by prosecutors to revoke the bond if you choose to view it
Rusty Hardin, Peterson's attorney, hasn't come forward to comment so far.
Which is news in and of itself...
DA Brett Ligon said he wants Judge Kelly Case recused after the she called each lead attorney in the case a "media whore."
Case apologized, saying the comment was meant as a joke. The remark was made after the attorneys wanted something along the lines of an expedited trial.
Hardin wanted something before Thanksgiving- which was denied. And it may be after the first of the year before the trial actually gets underway. It could be after Thanksgiving if the judge isn't bumped.
So, obviously, the timetable is still in play to get everyone into a courtroom...
Here's the story from the court where the judge misspoke...

Niners McDonald Out On Bail
((HT: KGO-TV))
We now have the first test for NFL Commisioner Roger Goodell's new stance on domestic violence...
San Francisco 49ers DL Ray McDonald is out on $25,000 bail after being charged with felony domestic violence in an overnight incident with his (apparently) pregnant girlfriend. The case is now going to the Santa Clara County DA's Office.
Here's the latest on the newest incident that confirms nothing good ever happens after 1AM or so...
San Francisco 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke released a statement:
"The 49ers organization is aware of the recent reports regarding Ray McDonald and we take such matters seriously. As we continue to gather the facts, we will reserve further comment."
But the most interesting piece of irony seems to be that McDonald was arrested in the same house that now-suspended DE Aldon Smith allegedly partied before getting arrested on DUI charges last month after getting into an accident.
McDonald is due in court for his next appearance September 15.

2 Longhorns Footballers Suspended After Sexual Assault Charges
((HT: KVUE-TV))
The HQ doesn't really post these stories, but the alleged mental slowness angle is the reason we're posting the story.
Two Texas Longhorns wide receivers, Kendall Sanders and Montrel Meander, are now both charged with sexual assault and out on personal recognizance bonds. Head coach Charlie Strong has suspended the two players pending the resolution of the case.
So, what's the reason we're posting this story...???
Sanders is also facing an improper photography charge.
Translation: The two players allegedly assaulted a campus acquaintance, but one of the two apparently took pictures.
Campus police are investigating the charge that Meander's room was the location of the alleged assault. The report says that Meander and the woman who eventually went to police had consensual sex before Sanders entered the room and allegedly began assaulting her.
Meander, then, allegedly joined in the assault.
Ryan Autullo, Brian Davis and Tony Plohetski of the Austin American-Statesman covering the story went to UTPD chief of police David Carter press conference this afternoon. Carter said investigators confiscated Meander's and Sanders' cell phones through a search warrant. Carter didn't say if there was any evidence inside them or not.
Here's the live shot from outside the jail
Texas DB Quandre Diggs on his Twitter account was less than pleased: "It's a shame when people piss away great opportunities, God has given us all tremendous blessings." That seems to be the prevailing opinion among teammates right now... Head coach Charlie Strong released a statement on the arrest: "We've been monitoring and addressing the situation with Kendall (Sanders) and Montrel (Meander) since it was brought to our attention. It's been made clear to everyone on our team that treating women with respect is one of our core values, and I'm extremely disappointed that two young men in our program have been accused of not doing that. With the recent charges against them, they have been suspended indefinitely from our football team and will no longer participate in any team functions."
The on-campus investigation should take a few weeks.

OSG High: Louisiana Coach Arrested For Underage Sex, Exposing Student To AIDS
((HT: WWL-TV))
A New Orleans-area high school track coach is in jail on a million-dollar bond after having sex with an underage boy and knowingly exposing him to the AIDS virus.
Derrick Nesby, only employed a year at HL Bourgeois High, was arrested on one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and one count of intentional exposure to the AIDS virus.
He denies the allegations in a very disturbing story- and, frankly, the HQ thinks the word "disturbing" barely scratches the surface...
Here's the story out of Terrebone Parish
The disgust in the HQ right now is pretty deep...

((HT: MyFoxTwinCities))

Paul Blume is in Mankato and details what Mankato police are looking for and looking at in this fight that lasted five or ten seconds, but will impact a few families for a lot longer

T-Wolves Cunningham Arrested On Domestic Assault Charges
((HT: MyFoxTwinCities))
2nd year Minnesota Timberwolves forward Dante Cunningham was charged with assault after being accused of choking his girlfriend during an argument Thursday night.
The criminal complaint, filed in suburban Minneapolis, says Cunningham's girlfriend told police they got into an argument, Cunningham kicked down a locked bedroom door, grabbed her around the neck and slammed her against the wall, choking her to the point where she couldn't breathe.
Cunningham's girlfriend did not require medical treatment when police arrived.
Cunningham was charged with a felony count of domestic assault by strangulation with bail set at $40,000.
Here's the morning update
KMSP-TV
He is still in jail and didn't join the team for their weekend road trip in Florida.
The team issued a standard statement:
"We are aware of the matter involving Dante Cunningham and are in the process of gathering more information. Dante will not be traveling with the team to Miami this afternoon. The Minnesota Timberwolves organization takes the matter very seriously and does not condone the type of behavior that is associated with this situation. However, we need to let the legal process run its course, and will have further comment at the appropriate time."
Cunningham will be an unrestricted free agent after this season.
The team exercised their $2.1-million option after last season.

Darren Sharper Denied Bail Again
((HT: KABC-TV))
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Renee Korn rejected the defense idea that former NFL'er Darren Sharper should be granted bail and be held under house arrest until trial as he appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday. Judge Korn is waiting to see if the state of Arizona will pursue extradition proceedings...
Prosecutors say the Arizona governor's office is preparing to extradite Sharper even as Sharper's defense team is saying the opposite is true.
Basically, Sharper is still in trouble in more than one state and it will all start in Los Angeles at some point...

Hernandez Cousin Tanya Singleton Posts Bail
((HT: My Fox Boston))
An FYI to add to your files...
A cousin of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, Tanya Singleton, finally posted on a $15,000 cash bail (with conditions including wearing a GPS monitor) after being in jail since August. She has pleaded not guilty to charges of "criminal contempt" and "conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact."
Prosecutors charged her with contempt for refusing to testify before a grand jury despite being given immunity for her testimony. The conspiracy charge alleges she aided two Hernandez associates who have pleaded not guilty to accessory to murder after the fact.
One of those incidents was allegedly helping an associate of Hernandez's, Ernest Wallace, leave Massachusetts before he was found by police in Florida. It is also alleged that Singleton talked to Carlos Ortiz, another friend of Hernandez's, about fleeing to Puerto Rico and she allegedly paid for a cell phone for Wallace when he left the state...
Here's the story at the time of her bail hearing in August...

Prosecutors: Carlos Ortiz Changes Testimony In Hernandez Case
((HT: MyFoxBoston))
And is now making it extremely interesting... and, maybe, extremely difficult to make a clean conviction...
The words "reasonable doubt" are now in play...
During the Ernest Wallace bail hearing, it was made clear that alleged Aaron Hernandez co-conspirator Carlos Ortiz is now saying that only Hernandez exited the car at the scene of Odin Lloyd's murder. Originally, Ortiz said both Hernandez and Wallace exited the car.
Prosecutors claimed Wallace told Hernandez's cousin, Tanya Singleton, about the Lloyd murder, and Singleton was jailed for refusing to testify before a grand jury investigating Odin Lloyd's murder. Investigators also allege a portion of a text message between Hernandez and Lloyd took place on Wallace's phone.
Wallace's attorneys maintained that their client should have had a bail lower than $500,000 because he was charged with accessory and not an actual murder charge. The judge ruled Wallace should continue to be held on $500,000 bail.
Here's the latest in Fall River...

Ernest Wallace Held On $500k Bond
((HT: MyFoxBoston))
The third of the members allegedly involved in the death of Odin Lloyd was in front of an Attleboro (MA) judge to have his fate determined.
End result: Being held on $500,000 bond...
Ernest Wallace, prosecutors say, was with Hernandez when he picked Odin Lloyd up on June 17th. The case prosecutors are laying out against Wallace has him discussing with Aaron Hernandez recovering weapons that may be associated with the murder case. The two could be seen going into the basement of Hernandez's home as seen on the home security system.
More information in the case against Hernandez was released in a 104-page release yesterday that included Xeroxes of Hernandez holding what looks like a .45- the murder weapon in Lloyd's death.
Prosecutors also said that the next day Hernandez and Wallace returned a rental car and picked up a new one before Wallace went to Hernandez's Franklin "flop house"- the third location in suburban Boston that was eventually searched for evidence in the Hernandez case. They also maintain Wallace then fled to Florida with the assistance of Hernandez's aunt.
He was picked up there and extradited back to Massachusetts...
Prosecutors wanted Wallace to be held on $1 million bail- saying that he was a flight risk whose only source of income was Hernandez...
Which, really, isn't a surprise...

DEVELOPING: Hernandez Denied Bail By Fall River Superior Court
The judge seeing the arguments in the ideas of Aaron Hernandez's bail has denied the paperwork.
Hernandez returns to jail to wait for his next hearing in a month's time...
But the contradiction of the gag order goes against the idea of all the evidence presented by prosecutors...
Examples:
Police recovered evidence from Hernandez's phone, which included texts to the victim and two friends on the night of the murder. He requested Odin Lloyd come over to his house and pick something up while seemingly agitatingly texted his friends wondering where they were and how far away from the house to allegedly carry out their actions against Lloyd...
The prosecution said they have Hernandez on surveillance tape holding a weapon, while allegedly saying "you can't trust anyone anymore." Witnesses and surveillance tape in Boston also showed Hernandez and Lloyd in a car together the day of the murder. Texts showed Hernandez allegedly was mad because Lloyd talked to people that Hernandez "had troubles with."
Six to eight hours of footage was missing from Hernandez's home security video system- presumably when he destroyed it.
The prosecution said the video that was recovered shows someone leaving a car with a gun in hand on the night of the murder and that same someone was walking through Hernandez's house before video footage went out.
A shell casing was found in a car Hernandez rented matching shell casings found at the murder scene.
The prosecution alleges Hernandez shot Lloyd three times right after Lloyd got out of the car, then Hernandez allegedly stood over Lloyd and shot him two more times.
The prosecution also referenced the undated TMZ photo of Hernandez holding a Glock in a selfie- tying it to his predisposition to guns and suggesting that a Glock was the murder weapon.
The defense came back with the idea that as a father with a fiancee, being one of the best football players in the "United States of America," needing rehab for injuries (which was news), and being as recognizable as he is that he would not be a flight risk.
Superior Court Judge Renee Dupuis said that Hernandez is a person who "does not apply to society's rules." She also thought that the circumstantial was very strong and ordered Hernandez be returned to the Bristol County House of Correction and Jail.
Some who stayed outside the courthouse chanted "Innocent!"
For whatever that's worth...
Prosecutors did not stay to answer questions for the assembled media, however Hernandez's attorneys did with the shouting throng around him.
More when we know more...
