Well, it was Syracuse...
So, it was supposed to be a double-reverse, flea-flicker pass.
Didn't work at all...

Arkansas Has Heisman Fun With Sebastian Tretola
((ht: footballscoop.com))
Fat Guy Heisman! Stat!
We are always appreciative when an athletic department and football players have a little fun with their images.
Applause to the University of Arkansas athletic video department for producing a Heisman promotional video for 350 lb, Offensive Lineman Sebastian Tretola.
In case you are wondering who he is:
Yeah...
The folks in Fayetteville have designed a promotional campaign around a 30-for-30 style video that is hilarious.
And besides, who has a QB rating better than Tretola's 480? Nobody....

Division II Upset: CSU-Pueblo Has 42 Game Regular Season Winning Streak Snapped By Ft. Lewis
![]() |
| Ft. Lewis Head Coach John L. Smith |
resurfaced.
Late in the fourth quarter on fourth down and trailing by five to #2 CSU-Pueblo Ft. Lewis head coach John L. Smith went to his bag of tricks and I'm sure it's a deep bag.
Smith has always been sort of a mad scientist from this days at Louisville, Michigan State and that one year at Arkansas called for a wide receiver pass, something the Skyhawks had been working on that week.
Quarterback Jordan Doyle tossed to wide receiver Jordan Gillen who found Juquelle Thompson wide open in the end zone for the go - ahead touchdown.
You can see the play below. The play occurs at 1:42.
“We repped it all week in practice, and I was ready for it. I kept wanting coach to call it all game,” said Gillen, “I kept waiting for it, and we had run the ball hard enough before, and we had run plays that were similar to that, and we blocked good on it. They thought we were just going to run it again, so they all bit on it. Everybody bit, and Juquelle was wide open.”
CSU-Pueblo could not counter and saw their 42 game regular season winning streak come to an end as Ft. Lewis prevailed 23-22.
“That was special. ... I’ve been to Notre Dame’s stadium and beat them there, and I’ve been a lot of places, a lot of bowl games. I’ve beaten No. 1 UCLA in the Rose Bowl, and this is as big as it’s ever been in my career,” Ft. Lewis head coach John L. Smith said. “I can’t be more proud of these guys than I am. They hung in there and fought from the bottom of their heart.”
CSU-Pueblo streak goes down as the second longest regular season win streak in NCAA Division II history. Grand Valley State set the record winning 48 straight from 2004 - 2009.

ICYMI: The Dirty Dozen Gets Scrambled
((HT: ESPN/SEC on CBS/Fox Sports/Northwestern Football)
Did you ever have one of those days where absolutely everything you thought was an absolute lock came crashing down around your ankles and left you in such a state that your pants wouldn't fit anymore...???
Let's face it... all hell broke loose at the top of the rankings (whether you choose to look at Brother Phil's Dozen or some other source) and sent it all in the blender for the foreseeable future...
Examples...
Starting in Oxford... it was proven once again that Alabama has SERIOUS special teams issues in their loss to Ole Miss where Bo Wallace would keep the football and stash it someplace after the game was over as he tried to escape the throng that stormed the field.
Oklahoma decided that a road game against TCU in their new digs was a great idea... It wasn't...and plays like this one Gary Patterson pulled out of the back of the playbook help. What kind of flaws do USC have...??? There seems to be the one glaring one right now... Late game focus... it came into play as Arizona State came from behind to surprise them Some would think that Miss State's win over Texas A&M was an upset... The HQ doesn't think so as their suspect defense was exposed and Dak Prescott went off in a 48-31 win But here's one last one for you to think about as we head to Sunday... Northwestern hosted Wisconsin and they weren't good hosts- beating the Badgers 20-14 in a bit of a mucker it looks like...

The "Hide The Midget" Play Comes Up Big For Arkansas State, Red Wolves Win The Go.Daddy Bowl 23-20 Over Ball State
That's right, this weird formation is known as "hide the midget" and at 5-9 ASU's R.J. Fleming served that role perfectly for a 27 yard gain for the Red Wolves.
Thanks ESPN
"It was crazy," Carrethers said. "I've never experienced anything like that. To put everything on the line and then come through like that -- it was an amazing feeling. I couldn't have written it any better."
