The HQ has known about people retiring on the air or some things like that... getting the chance to say good-bye to an endearing audience...
But we think this is the first time that someone has gone ahead and quit on the air, and of course, it was in the minor-minor leagues...
In something called the "North American Baseball League" ((Which we found out was a merger from the Golden and United Baseball Leagues of years past)), the North Division Lake County Fielders had their manager quit and had 11 players not play since they hadn't been paid yet...
All that was left was the play-by-play guy to head out the door...
