OSG High: Greenbrier Suspends 18 Soccer Players For Road-Trip Drinking and Smoking (UPDATED)

Which, pretty much, takes out most of the team's two-deep...

Scott Rouch of the Columbia County News-Times details how a lot of the Wolf Pack are out of their uniforms until further notice.

It has to do with athletes drinking while underage on a school-sponsored trip and also being fingered by others for smoking Spice- a form of synthetic marijuana...

Greenbrier played for the Class 4A title last year in the GHSA against Lambert High School...

And with only seven varsity players available, the 2nd-ranked team in 5A (this year, because of reclassification) was supposed to play top-ranked McIntosh this weekend. So much for that high-quality match-up...

“We may allow any of those who did admit to go ahead and waive their rights to a hearing and we will place them immediately in the alternative school so they don’t miss any school time,” Columbia County School Superintendent Charles Nagle said at a press conference.

3/28 UPDATE: Valerie Rowell of the Columbia County Times says in her article that the teens will not face criminal charges, but will face supplemental discipline from the school system on Friday.
