The "It", is a uppercut thrown by Nipissing University (Canada) defenseman Brett Cook and it connects with linesman Nicholas Pinche trying to get him to the penalty box and off the ice during a scrum that broke out.
And according to reports, Cook initiated everything, the later fight, (closer in the video) broke out after Cook's penalty.
Ontario University Athletics, well they frowned a bit on all this, banning Cook from playing in their league.

Sure, Cook later issued the apologetic statement and his coach expressed his remorse over the whole issue. But Cook, a promising youngster won't be playing college level hockey in Canada. Nobody knows if this will end his pro aspirations--if he had any.
But sorry dude, there is NO excuse for this. Caught up in the moment or not. You deserve the lifetime ban. And if you had thought about playing hockey as a career, well, maybe it's time to work on getting your college degree.
