Maple Leafs Fans Help Out Anthem Singer

There are times when audio equipment will, in fact, flake out...

It did when the Toronto Maple Leafs were hosting the other night...

The wireless microphone crapped in the American anthem and the good fans up north helped out the cause...

Very classy and well done...

UALR AD Resigns After Hot Mic Incident

((HT: The Score))

Arkansas-Little Rock Athletic Director Chris Peterson has resigned after comments he made about an athlete's mother were caught on an open mic during a soccer broadcast...

Here's the incident from a women's soccer game between UALR and Chicago State last month
((HT: Arkansas Times))

Peterson was AD for 15 years in Little Rock...

Chancellor Joel Anderson said in a statement: “What one hears from the Director of Athletics on the live video transmission of the women’s soccer game on August 22 is unacceptable for a person in a University leadership position. Director Peterson apologized for it and resigned.”

Brad Nessler Had To Go...

((HT: Awful Announcing))

The Number One By-Law The HQ has always adhered to in the television bid-ness is "Always Act Like Your Mic Is Hot..."

We learned at an early age that you never cuss and you never say anything you don't want to go over the air in a normal circumstance until you're off the air entirely...

A dude we really admire in the booth, Brad Nessler, fell victim to the hot mic last night before the Pats-Jets game...

But when you gotta go, you gotta go... and that will never change...
