Huguely Could Face 26 Years

The second-degree murder and grand larceny charges on former University of Virginia lacrosse player George Huguely are yielding a possible 26-year sentence come the April sentencing phase in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The jury deliberated for nine hours in the case involving Huguely's former girlfriend, Yeardley Love. Late last night, the possible 60 years from the charges were whittled down to the current 26.

The judge does not have to keep the jury recommendation by the latter, but the term can be adjusted or adhered to as is.
