Tiger Woods had carded a 43 three times in his career and hadn't carded a 44 until today...
The Memorial is a tournament that Woods has won five times and is the defending champ. He finished the round with a 79 and had never shot worse than a 76- that was 10 years ago.
"It was a rough day," Woods said to a PGA Tour media official. "It was tough out there from beginning to end."
And that's putting it somewhat mildly for the guy who was 70th on the leaderboard when he was done.
Here's his triple on the 18th...
Woods worst round ever was an 81 in the 2002 Open Championship...
