Believe it or not, there are only 8 people in NCAA basketball history who've scored over 3,000 points in their College Basketball careers.
Before Saturday, it was only 7.
Number 8 became Doug McDermott of Creighton University. McDermott got his 3,000th point on a 3-pointer midway through the second half of his teams 88-73 win over Providence on the Blue Jays Senior Night.
We might add that McDermott, a senior, dropped a 45 point game on the Friars to celebrate.
