What is it with Texas mayor's taking to YouTube to fire back at famous sports people who criticize their cities?
First it was the mayor of San Antonio firing back at NBA blowhard Charles Barkley, a story that we reported on and showed video of.
You can see it RIGHT HERE
Now it's College Station, Texas (home of Texas A&M) Mayor Nancy Berry. Berry responded to a perceived slight by current Florida Gator head coach and former Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp.
Coach Boom apparently told a recent Gator Club meeting that while a game with Texas A&M will most certainly have an "SEC" feel to it. It will be the only reason any of them will ever think of visiting College Station.
And he's not totally wrong. We haven't been to College Station, but we are reasonably certain that like Muschamp, we probably would have no reason to go unless we were attending an A&M game. We're guessing that College Station is a lot like Lubbock (Home of Texas Tech) where there is a lot of nothing...and then the town appears. And there really isn't much there...other than the town (we've been to Lubbock--for a game).
Anyway, here is the Mayor's response. It's funny...mostly due to the photoshopped pictures of Muschamp.
Her honor must have a good creative person on her media staff.
