Gus Malzahn

Chip Kelly's first year success as the Philadelphia Eagles head coach has NFL owners and general
managers looking toward the college ranks for a head coach.

The Cleveland Browns and interested in Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn and Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin for their head coaching vacancy.

Both are clients of super agent Jimmy Sexton and both come from the SEC.  Keep in mind Browns owner Jimmy Haslem is a Tennessee booster and follows the SEC very closely.

Malzahn has no NFL experience but as an offensive coach has had success against SEC defenses second only to the NFL.

Frankln spent the 2005 season as an assistant coach for the Green Bay Packers coaching the receivers.

The Browns begin their interviews this week with Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn leading off.
