The prosecution continues to build its case against Oscar Pistorius on Day Three...
They introduced a friend who Pistorius allegedly asked to take the blame after a pistol was accidentally fired in a Johannesburg restaurant weeks before the double-amputee runner fatally shot Reeva Steenkamp.
Kevin Lerena said the restaurant shooting happened when he, Pistorius, and two other friends were in a restaurant in January 2013. One of the friends passed his gun to Pistorius under the table and told him that there was a bullet in the chamber, Lerena said. Then a shot went off, puncturing the floor near Lerena's foot had been.
Lerena said that Pistorius asked for Lerena to take the heat because he (Pistorius) didn't want any more hype surrounding him at that time.
Here's that segment of the trial...
Pistorius' defense attorney also continued to attempt to discredit the testimony of the married couple who were neighbors of Pistorius and allegedly heard the fight and gunshots that killed Steenkamp...
