DEVELOPING: Perrish Cox Acquitted In Sexual Assault Case

((HT: KDVR-TV))

After deliberating for less than a day, jurors acquitted former Denver Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox on both counts of sexual assault from a year-and-a-half ago.

Cox, after answering questions outside the court, then let the rest of the world know how he felt... without spell checker...

“Harvey stienberg is the greatest lawyer on earth, hands down, there is no other better as i recall, all else is obselete!!,” Cox later tweeted...

Here's Greg Nieto after the fact...

Cox was arrested on December 9th, 2010 after his accuser claimed he sexually assaulted her and got her pregnant after a night of partying with friends and other Denver Broncos players- including Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.

Thomas testified in the case against Cox. Once his testimony was given, Steinberg immediately asked for mistrial as Thomas claimed that when Cox was taking the unconscious woman upstairs that she "was ready." At the time, it was reported that Thomas was the girl's boyfriend.

The mistrial request was denied.

The accuser later had an abortion. A DNA test was administered, according to prosecutors, and the results had DNA that matched Cox.

Cox originally denied having sex with his accuser who was escorted out of the courtroom once the verdict was given.
