Ron Wilson Fired As Maple Leafs Coach

And Randy Carlyle is, now, the new man in charge...

The Leafs were in a tailspin-and-a-half... only having one win in their last 11 games and currently sit in 12th place in the Eastern Conference.

"This was not an easy decision for me to make," general manager Brian Burke said in a statement. "I want to thank Ron for all of his hard work and dedication to our organization over the past four seasons."

Now, the Leafs can take this in one of two directions: follow Carlyle the same way the St. Louis Blues followed Ken Hitchcock or, tank again...
