L.A. Stars Defeat Memphis Tams...Err Clips Over Griz 98-91. Where Was The Red, White & Blue Basketball?

The Los Angeles Stars and the Memphis Tams (aka L.A. Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies) mixed it up at the Staples Center in an ABA battle (The league died in 1976). The Stars won it 98-91.

Those of us at the OSG HQ wonder where was the red, white and blue basketball?

Now in our research we could not find any footage of the orginal Memphis Tams however we did find this clip from the old Memphis Sounds from 1975. It's a game against the old Spirits of St. Louis. Its a familar voice calling the game, Bob Costas had the call from the old Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis.



By the way, we could not find any L.A. Stars footage. We did find this photo from a Stars game in the late 1960's
