During the Morgan State-SC State game this weekend, Morgan State head coach Todd Bozeman allegedly made contact with one of his players and has since been suspended with pay pending an investigation.
SC State President George Cooper witnessed what he thought was Bozeman punching guard Larry Bastfield in the face. Cooper then called campus police, confronted Bozeman, and asked Bastfield if he wanted to press charges.
"They said they were told he hit me in the face," Bastfield said, according to an interview with the Baltimore Sun. "I told him that he accidentally bumped me in the chest. It was something that happens in the heat of the game."
