Varsity high school hockey coach Randy Montrose and his two assistants were fired after their local district higher-ups were told (and also came to a photographed conclusion) players walked around a bar wearing women's bras, underwear, and girdles during a recent road trip.
Howell ((MI)) Public Schools said in a statement this week that it determined that all three men were "present and involved" when "hazing" occurred.
The players claim they went inside the bar as a joke- and it was reported that way by a Michigan radio station as well. Howell Superintendent Ron Wilson says he reviewed photos taken during the trip and came to that conclusion.
The district found an interim coach- Darren Schmitz. It will be interesting to see how the team interacts with their new boss...
