ICYMI: Colorado Cancels Game With Fresno State

((ht: dailycamera.com))

For those of you that don't closely follow News stories, the flooding in Colorado this week, and in particular the Boulder area has been heart wrenching to watch.

At least 3 Dead, more than 100 missing, roads turned into rivers and countless homes and businesses flooded along with thousands evacuated from their homes.

It's been awful to watch.

And because of that, and the recovery and coping the Boulder area is currently going through, Colorado University cancelled their Saturday afternoon football game with Fresno State.

They had to.

The Buffalo's haven't been able to practice the past few days, their practice field flooded. Yes, the football stadium, which sits on higher ground, did not get flooded, but very few if any local residents...or visitors can get there.

Read much, much more about the decision from the Boulder Daily Camera RIGHT HERE

Yes, it was a bit surprising this decision wasn't made until Friday afternoon, the flooding has been wide spread since early Thursday morning.

But they did eventually make it. The thought of 60,000 or so trying to get into a town with few passible roads is inconceivable. The thought of 60-70 police officers being taken off of search and rescue and control of the town...well....let's just say the school made the right call.

No word yet on when...or if the game will be made up.
