How We Got Here

FC LVU Sonic

Greater Binghamton FC was defeated 1-0 by FC Lehigh Valley United Sonic. The Sonic, defending 2012 NPSL National Champions, had been beaten twice this season by GBFC. This is Sonic’s third trip in four years to the NPSL National Semifinals.

The only goal of the game was scored in the 57th minute by Sonic’s Lance Dotzman on a shot 12 yards out directly in front of the GBFC goal on a centering pass from Matt Baker.

GBFC finished the season with a 10-2-2 record, winning the NPSL Keystone Division title. Sonic (11-3) won their third Northeast Conference title in four years.

Sonoma County Sol

The Sol beat Golden Gate Division rivals Sacramento Gold 3-1 in extra time. The Gold are the only team to have beaten the Sol in 2013, losing in a U.S. Open Cup qualifier, going 3-1 overall...

The game was tied at 1 going into extra time, where the Sol scored 2 goals in the first 15 minute half. The game-winning goals were scored by Brenton Frame and Cory Taufer.

RVA FC

RVA FC held off Chattanooga FC 1-0 at Sports Backers, but it was more of an adventure that CFC will remember more than anything. After a bus accident, the coach's flight delay, and a thunderstorm, the fans that drove nine hours each way got a good one...

Erie Admirals

Erie traveled 270 miles to Detroit last weekend to beat Le Rouge, and then they went another 600 miles to Bettendorf, Iowa, for their quarterfinal with QCFC. Erie Admirals upset the Quad Cities Eagles 1-0 Saturday evening in the Midwest Championship game.

Erie’s game winner came from Afrim Latifi who scored on an assist from Billy Colton...
