Okay, so maybe Japan has caught up to the Major League Baseball in terms of overall talent.
Well, if the current Team Samurai vs. MLB All Stars series is any indicator, they may have surpassed the Major Leaguers.
Early Saturday morning, while many of us were sleeping, Team Samurai used 4 pitchers to no-hit the MLB'ers in the Tokyo Dome.
Team Samurai is Japan's national team and yes, they are pretty good. Takahiro Norimoto threw 5 perfect innings with 6 strikeouts and the 3 relievers did the rest against a Major League team featuring both AL Batting Champ Jose Altuve and NL Batting Champ Justin Morneau.
Read into this whatever you will, but the Major Leaguers have lost 3 of the 4 games they've played so far. Two games and an exhibition remain on the slate.
