Louisiana-Lafayette Uses Sixth Man - Literally - To Defeat Western Kentucky 72-70 In OT (Updated- Coach Fired))

Updated 10:55 a.m--Western Ky. has fired their coach, Ken McDonald, though they don't cite this story as the reason.

Short version--AD Ross Bjork says he didn't like the direction the program (5-11 this season) was heading.

In college basketball the sixth man can affect the outcome of a game but usually its from the seats not on the floor.

Louisiana Lafayette had six players on the floor when the Cajins Elfrid Payton drove and hit a lay up with 3.4 seconds left to secure ULL's 72-70 overtime win over Western Kentucky.
