It's Official: The Battle at Bristol--CFB at NASCAR

150,000 plus College Football fans in one of NASCAR's fabled tracks.

Yup, we told you just last week that Virginia Tech and The University of Tennessee would be squaring off in 2016 at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

Today, the schools, the track and NASCAR made it official.

The game slated for September 10th of 2016, assuming it's played, could potentially set the World Record for highest attendance figure at a College Football game. The stands are slated to be ready to host 150,000 screaming fans.

And according to the Knoxville News-Sentinel, the attendance will reflect on how much each school could make. Reporter Evan Woodberry says both schools will get 40,000 tickets each. If they sell those tickets, it's a $4 million payout.

We think this is a great idea and are surprised nobody has thought about it sooner.

They did, they just couldn't pull it off.

Why not put this kind of game half way between two of College Football's best drawing teams. We're betting if this works, you'll see it happen more often.
