Destrehan (LA) High is in the top 5 in Class 5A at 8-0, and is under investigation by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) for possibly cheating using Hudl...
“We’ve have never dealt with anything like this before,” LHSAA executive director Kenny Henderson told The Shreveport Times' Roy Lang III.
Hudl has become the beauty of the high school football world. It is a computerized clearing house for itemizing game film by play, formation, player, situation... you name it, the program breaks it down and has caused the stopping of coaches meeting at restaurants at half-way points on the freeway to prevent tape swapping forever...
And, pretty much, every school uses it now...
Looks like Destrehan got the South LaFourche (LA) username and password and went to town...
Destrehan ended up beating South LaFourche 49-24 Friday night.
From Lang:
According to Henderson, the LHSSA “visited” Destrehan, located along the Mississippi River about 20 miles west of New Orleans in St. Charles Parish, on Monday.
“Were doing an investigation and I can’t tell you more than that because it’s an ongoing investigation and, honestly, I just don’t know what to tell you,” Henderson said.
Here's what Destrehan has done in the past- winning a state title back in 2008...
