Oh, this isn't good.
San Francisco 49ers all-star linebacker Aldon Smith is apparently in trouble with the law again.
No, it isn't a NEW incident, but rather charges stemming from an old one.
CSN Bay Area reports the Santa Clara County DA filed 3 felony assault weapons charges against Smith. Those charges stem from a 2012 house party he held where he got stabbed and 2 people were shot.
More from CSN Bay Area RIGHT HERE
Smith is already on leave from the 49ers, as he deals with a purported drinking problem. He was charged with DUI in a September 20th crash.
It's beginning to look like the Niners will be doing without their all-pro possibly for the season at this rate. Although we say that knowing two days after the DUI charges, he was out of the field against the Colts.
Per @nancygay of CSN Bay Area---The 49ers release a statement: "The 49ers organization is aware of the recent developments with Aldon arising from an incident at his home in 2012. We recognize the serious nature of this situation, as does Aldon and will continue to monitor it closely. As this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment"
