Former New Orleans Saints defensive back Steve Gleason went in front of the United Nations over the spring and said that technology could help in the integration of ALS and Multiple Sclerosis patients.
Today in New Orleans Team Gleason, Steve's foundation, announced the construction of a special residence for people with neuromuscular disorders in the St. Margaret's Skilled Nursing Residence in town. Eye-activating technology allows people to open curtains, turn on TVs, open doors and turn on lights inside the house.
JPMorgan Chase and Company gave $350,000 to the house in its construction.
Meg Farris was at the announcement...
Full disclosure: The HQ is a member of Team Gleason and supports its goals as we're very close to people who are fighting both diseases...
