Finally Kansas Wins A Big 12 Conference Game, Breaks 27 Game Losing Streak

Little did Kansas football fans know that when the Jayhawks defeated Colorado 52-45 in 2010 that would begin a long painful Big 12 Conference losing streak.

KU couldn't beat up on Colorado again because the Buffalos had the audacity to leave the conference for the Pac 12.

In that 2010 game James Sims ran for three touchdowns against the Buffs.  Three years later Sims made three trips into the end zone again along with a career high 211 yards as
Kansas finally won a conference game Saturday in Lawrence 31-19 over West Virginia.

"It felt amazing looking up at the scoreboard and us on top and them down, it's a wonderful feeling."  Sims said.  "We did it as a whole, it wasn't just one individual or anything like that. We did it as a whole and that's a great thing."

"Let's start with the kids that have been here for five years and gone through multiple coaches." Kansas head coach Charlie Weis said.  "Those are the guys I feel the best for. I also feel good for all of our students and fans who have endured those years. Finally, I'm obviously happy for the team because they were struggling."

After the game Charlie Weis gave his team the green light to go out a celebrate.

I hope the daughters of Lawrence, Kansas and KU co-eds were fore warned.
