A lot of eyes were focused on Annika Sorenstam playing her first competitive round of golf in six years. She was being penned as the champ of the celebrity tournament in Lake Tahoe over the likes of Mark Rypien, Billy Joe Tolliver, and Rick Rhoden.
But there was a really cool surprise after the first round...
Iraq War veteran Chad Pfeifer is trying to be the first professional golfer to play with a prosthetic limb. He lost his left leg above the knee serving our country and was the first round leader.
Pfeifer has won three straight Warrior Opens and shot a 70 on his round. The tournament is scored on a modified Stableford system and he registered a 24.
Ed Fletcher followed Pfeifer and found THE story of the day
Oh, Charles Barkley was next to last after the first 18 only ahead of Hilary Knight at a minus-32.
