Hokies Prevail In "Battle Of The Techs",

Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer loves Logan Thomas as his quarterback. Thursday night against Georgia Tech Thomas showed why accounting for five touchdowns, three through the air and two on the ground as Virginia Tech won their ACC record 12th straight game on the road 37-26.

"He's a load. He's a hard guy to bring down." Head coach Frank Beamer said after the game. "He gets a little bit better all the time. I like the way he threw the ball. He pulled it down a couple times and made a couple plays. I think he sees the field a little better each and every week and feels things. He's a great leader for us, I can promise you."

Here are the highlights from Atlanta. (Thanks ACC Digital Network)

"We just didn't make enough plays, get it done." Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson said after the game. "Offense, defense, special teams, nobody got it done. Offense has to score enough points to get the W, defense had a hard time stopping the run. They outrushed us, when teams do that, you aren't usually going to win.

Virginia Tech and Virginia are in the drivers seat in the ACC Coastal Division. Both the Hokies and Cavaliers control their own destiny.

Should they win out then the annual "Commonwealth Cup" game will be for the ACC Coastal Division title.
