You can easily say that Oklahoma State versus Kansas State ended up being the antithesis of the LSU/Alabama game.
No, it didn't feature what you could call the 2-best teams in College Football, though after outlasting K-State, Oklahoma State will now probably be the #2 in the land. What it did feature was 97 points and over 1,000 yards of total offense.
Okie State got the win, 52-45, but not before the Wildcats had the ball inside the Cowboys 10 yard line with 3 chances to tie the game at the end of the fourth quarter.
And while the Cowboy fans should be celebrating a dramatic win, we just don't see them as a title contender. It's great that you can score points in bunches against another conference team. But we can assure you, you won't do that against LSU. And your defense isn't good enough to stop them either.
The game featured 500 yards passing by Oklahoma St. QB Brandon Weeden and 3 TD runs and 1 TD pass by K-State QB Collin Klein. Cowboy WR Justin Blackmon also kicked in 13 catches for 205 yards.
The win sets up Oklahoma State to finish out the season pretty strong, however, they still have to get by Oklahoma, the 1st weekend in December and though the Sooners are pretty beat up, there is no guarantee that will be a win.
