Surprising no one, Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has transferred ownership of the franchise to his wife, Shelly, in their first attempt to keep the NBA from taking the team from them.
Shelly Sterling, per multiple reports will be charged with overseeing the sale of the franchise to a yet-to-be determined buyer.
But, according to Ramona Shelburne who has been on top of this since the beginning, it is still unclear just how much of the Clippers she is willing to sell on orders from her husband. And that's where the semantics kicks in.
From NBA spokesman Mike Bass:
"We continue to follow the process set forth in the NBA Constitution regarding termination of the current ownership interests in the Los Angeles Clippers and are proceeding toward a hearing on this matter on June 3."
