A D3 Fantastic Finish... Complete With Multiple Field Stormings

((HT: Bethel Royals Athletics))

And for that we go to the MIAC- which is the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference...

Bethel and Concordia...

We'll get to the good part...
Concordia had a 14-7 lead with under 90 seconds left...

All Bethel had to do was drive the length of the field...

And they thought the game had ended with them on the Concordia 17...
Not so fast, there, skippy...

A Concordia penalty for "too many men on the field" during the first post-game celebration gave them the untimed down, subsequent TD, subsequent 2-point conversion and the improbable win...

Here's the extended highlights...

"They said we were on the field celebrating before the recovery was made," Concordia head coach Terry Horan told Patrick Reusse of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "I didn't think so, but that was the call.

"Our defense had one whale of a day. We have a strong team. We have strong leadership. We'll recover from this."
