Florida blows South Carolina out of The Swamp

If there were any question about how legit the Florida Gators were this season, consider them now answered.

Thanks to a bunch of silly South Carolina turnovers and a suffocating defense, the Gators ran through, over and around the Gamecocks 44-11.

Oddly enough, Florida had 21 points at the half and 29 total yards of offense. South Carolina's special teams turned the ball over twice and the Gators blitzed and sacked SC quarterback Connor Shaw on the first play of the game.

Shaw fumbled on the 1-yard line.

Jeff Driskel completed 11 passes, 4 for touchdown and Mike Gillislee ran for 37 yards as the Gators struggled to move on a stout South Carolina defense.

It didn't matter.

The win cements Florida's claim as the #2 team in College Football and sets up a winner take all showdown with Georgia in Jacksonville next week.(assuming Ga. beats Kentucky)

The winner is the odds on favorite to be the SEC East champ, the loser probably ends up in the Outback bowl.
