ND QB Rees and another player arrested

Tommy Rees and Carlo Calabrese/Ctsy: St. Joseph County Jail
((ht: southbendtribune.com))

We wonder how noted disciplinarian Brian Kelly is going to handle this one....

Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees and linebacker Carlo Calabrese were arrested early Thursday morning in South Bend, Indiana after police were called to a home they were at.

The South Bend Tribune reports Rees and Calabrese were arrested for: Public Intoxication, resisting law enforcement, minor consumption (Rees is only 20) and battery to law enforcement.

Ooops.

Read more from the Tribune RIGHT HERE

Uh...not a good thing here for Rees, who started 12 games for the Irish last season. He faces some stiff competition for the starting job this season and is no lock to win it.

However, considering coach Brian Kelly didn't do a whole lot to the now graduated Michael Floyd after his 2nd DUI arrest, we suspect he probably won't do much here either.

As for Calabrese, he plays, but isn't a starter.

Both dumbasses bonded out of jail, expect them to be put on probation and maybe sit for a game or two.

Here's early returns from our friends at WNDU-TV in South Bend
