The NBA has gone ahead and done it...
They've canceled the rest of the preseason activities, and are saying that the first two weeks of the upcoming season are in jeopardy if a deal isn't reached by Monday.
Four hours of talks between the owners and players didn't amount to anything according to union president Derek Fisher.
"Today was not the day to get this done. We were not able to get close enough to close the gap," Fisher said.
Player agents are telling their charges not to back down from their demands- currently something in the neighborhood of 53-percent of revenues, a soft cap, and other dress-ups... the owners are looking at 47-percent...
That's 10-percent from their current revenue level...

1910 UPDATE: we know more... from the league their ownselves...
The NBA announced today that the entire 114-game preseason schedule has been canceled because a new collective bargaining agreement has not been reached with the National Basketball Players Association.
