This is a bit of an odd story. According to a report in today's Gainesville Sun, current University of Florida defensive lineman Dominique Easley attacked former Alabama player Reggie Myles after this past Saturday night's game in Gainesville.
Myles alleges that he was attacked/tackled from behind after the game and didn't know who did it until he was contacted by Easley's parents who were looking for their son's missing cellphone. Myles found the cellphone on the ground next to him.
Apparently, Myles was detained after the incident and is facing what was termed "Unrelated" charges having to do with his reaction to what happened. Myles was apparently very upset over what happened and was scraped up in the incident.

This is a bit of a confusing story, and parts of it don't seem to add up. Myles has filed a complaint and is basing that on the phone that was found at the scene. Easley's parents have not said anything at all about the incident, which is still under investigation by UF police who have declined to charge Easley or any other suspect in the attack.
